One day, one project, one release candidate, twenty-two decisions. This is the record for Ken, for the
brain, and for the first stranger who asks “why is it like this?”. Everything below is on GitHub; the
site is the door; the decisions are on the Decision Sheet.
The through-line
The Foundation’s open-source projects were three downloads and a decision about which to install first.
By the end of the day they are one practice with four levels — 100 Begin, 200 Retrofit, 300 Hold,
400 Prove — each an hour or less, each on a real case from the 100 verified harms, each running the four
gates (pre-pend · policy · operate · audit), each ending in something a person can show on Thursday. The
marks are the credential, and the credential is a receipt. The hero of the story is the standard — OVERT,
from Glacis — and the Foundation is the community that carries it to everyone the market will not reach.

Advice to make it better today
- Do your own 100 before anyone else does. Forty-five minutes, today. The founders’ marks calibrate every mark after, and until a stranger arrives you are the best usability test the worksheet has. Write down every place you hesitated; each is a worksheet issue.
- Name the stranger. practice #1 is the release gate. One person from the Camp pledge list or a program officer you know, invited today for Thursday the 17th, with the 100 worksheet link and nothing else.
- Ask Ken for exactly two things: his column on the Decision Sheet, and the Joe note. Everything downstream — the profile signature, “conformant” in public copy, the credential criteria — waits on those two.
- Wren’s name goes public only with Ken’s copy pass (site #103). Until then she lives in the repo. Swap the CMU sticker before any public use.
- Make Library #87 the one engineering priority. The Gate Check rule box is the only thing between “a worksheet” and “a product”; nothing else in the ninety days matters as much to a level 100.
- Decide the mark ritual before the ledger exists. For the 17th: a host writes one line in the recap — name (with permission), level, bundle hash. That line is the receipt until
practice.mark is.
- Turn Spanish on for the worksheets the same way the stories got it: cached translations, one file per worksheet. The manifesto is done; the 100 worksheet is the next hour of work.
- Retire “Every shelf” from the Community hero in Ken’s words pass — it is the last garden word on a public page.
- Badge strip: “OVERT 1.0” → “OVERT” until the profile is signed and 1.1 conformance is something we can say.
- Measure one thing this week: Wren Cards (by hand for now) versus receipts shown on Thursday. That ratio is the whole design.
