The NCW AI Partnership Pledge— v1.0
Signed by the citizens, educators, business owners, and community leaders of North Central Washington.
Drafted live at the NCW AI Expo · August 11, 2026
A public commitment by the people of North Central Washington
Why this exists
Maria's future
An 8th grader in Wenatchee whose AI tutor asks questions instead of giving answers — and who is up 23% in mastery with Khanmigo. She wants to be an engineer. She thinks she can.
Jake's future
A student who lets a chatbot write his essays — whose ability to spot fake news drops 15.3%, in a school with no policy and no one keeping the receipts.
Two stories. Both real. Both happening in American schools this year. This pledge exists because whether North Central Washington gets Maria's future or Jake's future is not automatic — it depends on the tools we choose, the rules we write, and whether a human stays in the loop. We're signing for Maria's future, together.
The pledge
Seven commitments
We believe AI can be the most powerful partner for learning, work, and community impact this region has ever had — if we do it right.
Workshop tables that complete the checklist have already done commitments 1–3. Finish the pledge here.

Why this is anonymous
We practice what we pledge
This pledge is for everyone in North Central Washington — including students and children. So we collect no names, no emails, and no personal information, and nothing you enter is sent to us or stored on a server. Commitment #7 says we keep careful records; the most careful record of a child's personal data is the one we never collect.
