Your privacy at NCW AI Camp

This is a welcoming place for everyone in North Central Washington — students, parents, teachers, small-business owners, and neighbors. We wrote this page so anyone can understand exactly how we handle information here.

Draft for founder & legal review. This is a working draft for Bob and Ken to review with counsel before it is published. It is written to be honest and accurate, but it is not yet legal advice.

The pledge collects nothing about you

When you commit to the NCW AI Partnership Pledge, we collect no name, no email, no age, no role, and no personal information of any kind. Your commitment is recorded only in your own browser, on your own device, and nothing is sent to us or to any server. If you write an optional "one thing I'll do" note, that note also stays only on your device — we never see it.

We designed it this way on purpose. Our audience includes children and students, and the safest way to protect a young person's personal data is to never collect it in the first place.

For families and students

Because we collect no personal information and require no account or email to take part in the pledge or read anything on this site, there is nothing here that identifies a child. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (COPPA) or students in a school setting (FERPA). If you ever believe we have collected a child's personal information by mistake, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

What the website itself keeps

  • No accounts, no sign-in. This is a public, read-only information site for the AI Expo. You can browse everything without telling us who you are.
  • Privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics. We may use a cookieless, aggregate measure of page visits to understand which pages are useful. It does not build a profile of you, does not use tracking cookies, and is not tied to your identity.
  • A help assistant. Some pages include the AiGovOps assistant widget. If you choose to use it, it helps you find your way around; don't type personal details into it.
  • Third-party services we load. Fonts and styling are loaded from common web providers so the page looks right; these see only the standard technical request your browser makes to fetch a file.

What we never do

  • We never sell information. Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
  • We never ask for passwords, bank details, or money on this site. If a message claims to be from us and asks for those, it isn't us.
  • We never share your details — because for the pledge, we don't have any.

Questions or concerns

This program is run by the AiGovOps Foundation, a Washington State nonprofit. If you have any question about privacy — or want something looked into — email the stewards at bob.rapp@aigovops.community or ken.johnston@aigovops.community. A real person will read it.
