After the workshop

Five questions, and one of them is a complaint box

You just spent a morning at The Rules, Hands-On. These five answers are how we prove the day worked, and how the next valley gets a better version of it. Two minutes, no sign-in.

What we ask

  1. 1

Did your table finish the checklist?

All six rows, some of them, or none. A half-finished First 30 Days sheet is still a win — but if most tables ran out of time, our timing is wrong and we want to know.

  2. 2

How confident were you about governing AI before this morning, and how confident are you now?

Two numbers, 1 to 5. This is the pair we report to the board and to the people who sponsored the room, so please give us the honest one rather than the kind one.

  3. 3

    Which lab was most valuable?

Break it yourselves · sort the failures · your persona’s mini-camp · score your own harms. The four labs compete for the same 95 minutes, so the winner gets more of them next time.

  4. 4

Will you actually do your week-one move?

Row 4 of your checklist named one thing to do in the first seven days. Yes, no, or not sure — and “not sure” is useful, because it means we asked for something that does not survive contact with a real week.

  5. 5

    One thing we should change.

The complaint box. Too fast, too slow, too much theory, wifi, coffee, the room, us — whatever it is, write it plainly. We read every one of these.
